The Democrats' majority in the House is currently six, but that’s only because there are five open seats. We already know the empty seat in Texas is guaranteed to go to a Republican after Democratic candidate Jana Lynne Sanchez missed the runoff by only 234 votes. If we lose in New Mexico, our majority goes down to just four .

Republican interest groups are already pumping tons of money into the campaign, but once again national Democrats are staying on the sidelines. That’s why Operation 147 is ALL IN on NM-1.
