The Supreme Court, with a 6-3 majority could allow the powerful to do what they want, while standing against the will of the American people, just announced they will take up a major abortion case that could roll back Roe v. Wade .

Anti-choice Republicans in Washington have been plotting this move for decades. All over the country, abortion opponents have passed a barrage of unconstitutional laws with one aim — challenging Roe v. Wade in the hopes that a conservative Supreme Court would take up the fight.

In this case, Mississippi Republicans passed a law that bans abortions after 15 weeks, with limited exceptions. Advocates standing up to the right-wing legislature say that is too early for people to save enough money and make the trek to the single abortion clinic in Mississippi.

Here’s the bottom line: The decision about whether or not to have an abortion should be made between a woman and her doctor. Folks across the country should have the right to a safe, legal, and accessible abortion. Period.
