There are approximately 400,000 children in the foster care system in the United States. As a foster parent, you have the opportunity to change a child’s life for the better — in fact, it can be life-changing!
That’s why this week, we wanted to share the personal story of Ashley Brannon. Brannon was a foster care kid and she benefited greatly from her foster care parents, who helped launch her into the woman she is today. It definitely wasn’t easy for Brannon to break some of the bad cycles she considered normal in relationships, but it was ultimately for the better.
Foster kids need foster parents who teach them good values, affirm good behavior, and value meaningful relationships. It’s important that we continue advocating for foster kids. That’s why we hope you enjoy this episode, “Fostering a New Future.”
