Well, friend – I just got out of a tough finance meeting, and I wish I could say we were going into the second half of May in better shape. With the Florida GOP likely controlling redistricting and pushing voter suppression tactics, we've got to rebuild. And we've got to do it fast. Let me explain why:

- Republicans in Florida just passed one of the strictest voter suppression laws in the country – making it exponentially harder for the average Floridian to vote.
|
- And now, an ally of Donald Trump is launching a redistricting group here in Florida: The GOP sees Florida as their pathway to solidifying a handle on power – even if they have to cheat by silencing Florida voters.
|
- Point-blank, they're working night and day to tip the scales in their own favor – and what we do right now will determine everything from expanding affordable health care to combating gun violence.

Friend, we sacrificed a lot in 2020 so that we can build back better. We worked our hearts out and won. But the fight continues – and that's why it is absolutely crucial for us to make up this $8,511 shortfall and hit our midnight deadline.

Even for the Republican Party, this is low, and it means we have to fight twice as hard building the resources to reach and register voters and win in Florida. So I mean it when I say I'm counting on everybody reading this email to make a grassroots donation now: Please rush $5 or more now to fight Republican voter suppression, win in Florida and protect our Democratic majority.
