Debbie has been quite busy recently. She’s stood up to the Trump administration and led the way on the issues that matter most to Florida families. Debbie called for an official impeachment inquiry into President Trump because she believes in our founding value that no person, not even the president, is above the law. Evidence suggests the president has obstructed justice, pressured a foreign state to investigate a political rival, and improperly blocked a whistleblower from Congress. These actions are an abuse of power and threaten our democracy. Our Constitution depends on us rising to this moment in history to demand that President Trump be held accountable.  President Trump ran for president by promising to build an expensive and xenophobic wall on the Mexican border, which he stated time and time again that Mexico would pay for. Now, Trump is attempting to steal $3.6 billion in US tax dollars from our military construction projects, harming our military readiness and hurting military families across the country. Debbie has consistently stood up and fought against Trump’s worst policies — from calling out ICE to exposing the insanity of the president’s plan to steal money from the military budget to fund his dangerous, ineffective and discriminatory wall.  As a proud American Jew, Debbie stood up and exposed Donald Trump’s attack on Jewish Democrats. We don’t need President Trump telling the Jewish community what to believe. The President isn’t helping. He is, in fact, making the situation worse. But don’t worry. Debbie is not afraid to call him out and fight for our shared values.
