Join us on Thursday, May 20 for the first episode of the Reimagining American Democracy series, “Democracy in America,” featuring a conversation between former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, director of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. A panel discussion featuring Congressman Will Hurd (R-Texas) and Eric Liu, co-founder and CEO of Citizen University and Executive Director of the Aspen Institute's Citizenship & American Identity Program, will be moderated by former CNN correspondent Jeanne Meserve.
Many believe that democracy in America was built on an unequal foundation long in need of fundamental repair. Others argue that the system has already weathered the worst and that the fundamentals simply need reinforcement. Whether left, right, or center, however, many now agree that democracy in America is in urgent need of progress.
