John,
Nina Turner, national co-chair of Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign, is running for Congress in Ohio’s 11th District. It’s a special election, so the primary is coming up — August 3rd of THIS year.
With the race getting closer, Turner’s top challenger has a television ad that tries to paint her in a negative light. But really, the ad shows what makes Nina Turner a progressive fighter for the people, no matter what the Democratic establishment says.
The ad reads: “Nina Turner has been highly critical of President Joe Biden.” When the Democratic Party is not aligned with the needs and opinions of its voters, Nina won’t stay silent. She’s ready to work with Pres. Biden, but that doesn’t mean she’ll simply go along with House Democrats when Speaker Pelosi and Pres. Biden fail to address the crises working people are facing in this country.
And that’s why Justice Democrats is supporting her. We need more leaders in Congress ready to take on the status quo and fight for policies like Medicare for All and a Green New Deal. Join us today by chipping in $3 directly to Nina’s campaign to add another voice in Congress who will challenge the political establishment.
Ohio’s 11th District is bright blue. It should have a representative like Nina Turner who won’t let corporate Democrats determine her policy positions. Outspoken, progressive, and willing to fight — that’s Nina Turner. We only endorse candidates like Nina, because we need more of them in Congress to be the voice of the people.
She’s the ONLY candidate running on a platform we can believe in. That means unequivocal support for Medicare for All, a living wage, equal pay for all, universal Pre-K, tuition-free higher education, student debt cancellation, a Green New Deal, and so much more for working people.
100% of donations will go directly to Nina Turner’s fight to win another Congressional seat for the working people of this country.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
