The Supreme Court is set to hear a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade that could put women’s rights in danger across the country.
The Supreme Court said it will review Mississippi’s ban on abortions after just 15 weeks of pregnancy. This will be one of the first reproductive rights cases argued before The Court since right wing extremist, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, was confirmed, giving conservatives a 6-3 majority.
After today's news from the Supreme Court, it's clearer than ever: We need folks in office who will fight to protect a woman's right to choose. You can count on me to be one of them.
But my opponent Jim Jordan scored a 0 from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund's most recent scorecard, and has a 100% lifetime score from National Right to Life.
Jim Jordan has a history of being one of the most anti-choice members of Congress. He voted to prevent federal spending on abortions and abortion services, make the Hyde Amendment permanent law, prevent funding to Planned Parenthood, and has even tried to impose criminal penalties on doctors.
He tried to pass a total ban on abortion after 20 weeks and opposed exceptions even in cases of danger to the mother's health.
I don’t think it should be up to the government to decide what women do with their own bodies. When I’m in Congress, you can count on me to work tirelessly to protect a woman’s right to choose.
