*** BREAKING *** BREAKING *** BREAKING ***

Team-

The U.S. Supreme Court just agreed to take up our case challenging a
Mississippi abortion ban. This ban unquestionably violates nearly half
a century of Supreme Court precedent and is a test case to overturn
Roe v. Wade.

Alarm bells are ringing loudly about this threat to
reproductive rights.

the Supreme Court again to defend our constitutional right to
abortion.

The Court granted Mississippi's request to review our case challenging
the state's ban on abortion after just 15 weeks of pregnancy-a
case that presents a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade.

Pre-viability abortion bans like this one have been unconstitutional
since the Court's ruling in 1973 on Roe, and this will be the first
such ban to go before the Court since that landmark ruling.

As one of our most dedicated allies, I know I don't need to
tell you that the consequences of a Roe reversal would be
devastating.

While abortion still remains legal in Mississippi for now, it is
already a hollow right for many for whom the barriers to access care
are simply too high-in particular, Black people, communities of
color, and people living in poverty. Mississippi legislators have
targeted abortion care with so many restrictions over the years that
there is only one clinic left in the state. With this case,
Mississippi seeks to advance its strategy of eliminating abortion
access entirely.

If Roe fell, more than 20 states would prohibit abortion outright. And
11 states-including Mississippi-currently have trigger
bans on the books, which would instantaneously ban abortion if Roe is
overturned.

This will be our second case before the Supreme Court in two
years, and we know that this fight will require time, dedication, and
resources to keep us going.
