We want to talk about target #1 of our Insurrectionist Knockout Fund: Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
We're sure you've heard about Greene by now, or you will soon. She's the congresswoman who promoted executing her Democratic colleagues, hung transphobic propaganda in the halls of Congress, set a motion to impeach Biden, and continues to protect the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol on January 6.
Greene has direct ties to white supremacist milita groups, and she's leading a nationwide “America First” tour to promote what she calls “uniquely Anglo-saxon political traditions.”
We wish we could shrug off Greene's antics, but the support she has received makes clear she's becoming one of the most dangerous lawmakers in Washington. To make things worse, while the first quarter of a new Congress is normally slow for fundraising, Marjorie Taylor Greene's supporters have defied expectations while Democrats have fallen behind.
