When the same son in question attempted to apply for federal employment in Washington, DC, Lamborn "required Mr. Pope and other staff to show [Lamborn's son] how the USA Jobs site worked and to give [Lamborn's son] tips on completing applications for federal employment.”
The lawsuit also suggests that the congressman violated the Congressional Authority Act of 1955, which prohibits retaliation against staffers who speak out against unsafe working conditions.
Coloradans in the Fifth Congressional district deserve better than this.
The actions of Representative Lamborn speak volumes of his character. Not only did Representative Lamborn endanger the health and safety of all of his staffers, but he also abused his power as a member of Congress for personal gain.
Doug Lamborn must be pushed out.
