Making sure you saw this message from Gloria Steinem. Gloria is a feminist, activist, and leader for gender equality. I’m honored to have her support. She’s a trailblazer for women across the country and hero to so many, including me.
While we’ve made so much progress in our Commonwealth, we have a long way to go to truly build a Virginia that works for all people. As Governor, I’ll fight hard for paid family leave, reproductive freedom and justice, and more so that everyone has a fair shot at success in Virginia.

I’m proud to endorse Jennifer Carroll Foy for Governor of Virginia.
Jennifer can win this election -- but only if she reaches enough voters between now and June 8. Donate now:

I’m endorsing Jennifer because she is the only candidate with the proven ability to take on the status quo that has left women behind.
Jennifer has been a champion for justice her entire life -- from breaking barriers as one of the first women to graduate from Virginia Military Institute, to leading the effort to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in Virginia and expanding access to reproductive freedom.
And if she wins, Jennifer will be Virginia’s first woman Governor and our nation’s first Black woman Governor.
In 25 days, Jennifer can win the primary for Governor of Virginia -- but only if we help her now.
Donate whatever you can today to Jennifer’s campaign. This money will go directly into TV and digital ads sharing Jenn’s story, and into her organizing program across the state.
I’m honored to support Jennifer. I can't wait to see her make history this year.
Gloria Steinem
Jennifer Carroll Foy was born and raised in Petersburg. In 2017, she flipped a Republican district as a first-time candidate pregnant with twins. During her time as Delegate, Jennifer championed the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, helped expand Medicaid to 400,000 Virginians, and advocated for the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable communities.
She has a career of public service and it started long before 2017. As a public defender, Jennifer helped give a voice to the often voiceless — children, people suffering from addiction, those experiencing homelessness, those with mental illness, and the poor.
Now she’s running to be the first woman elected Governor of Virginia and serve as the first Black woman to be governor nationwide.
Help her make history. Donate now.
