John,
Thanks to your activism, we’ve had a major breakthrough with the bill to create a bipartisan, independent commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
A bipartisan pair of lawmakers just introduced legislation to create a commission and it’s expected to be voted on in committee tomorrow. It may even be voted on by the full House of Representatives this week!
Now we need to turn up the heat. Before the House acts, we need to show Congress that Americans all across the nation support this commission and want to see a thorough investigation into what happened on January 6 and make sure it never happens again.
Many of you sent letters to your members of Congress last week — now we need you to increase the pressure by making a call today.
Call your Representative in Congress at (202) 224-3121 and tell them to support the January 6 commission.
If you don’t know who your Representative is, click here to find out and then call them at the phone number above.
Tell your Representative:
I’m urging you to put country above party and support legislation to create a bipartisan and independent commission to investigate the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
The assault on our nation’s capital on January 6 was an attack on our democracy and an attempt to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.
Americans across the country deserve to understand what happened that day, how it happened, and what can be done to ensure it never happens again.
I urge you to support the bipartisan bill to establish a January 6 commission.
This is about finding the truth about what happened on January 6, and the work we must do together to prevent this from ever happening again.
Thanks for all you do,
