Hi John,

I wanted to reach out and let you know about a critical special election happening in two weeks. On June 1st, we have a strong chance to elect a successor to Secretary Deb Haaland’s former seat with Democratic champion Melanie Stansbury.

She has spent her career tackling some of the biggest issues we face, including climate change and food insecurity. Melanie Stansbury is a leader dedicated to economic and social justice.

Stand with me and help Melanie win her special election on June 1st by making a donation today → [link removed]

I know Melanie will hit the ground running in Congress because I’ve seen her commitment to her community. Melanie focused her early career working on community issues and addressing water needs across New Mexico and the nation -- and took her knowledge and expertise to the U.S. Senate and Office of Management and Budget, where she helped write bills and executive orders on climate, conservation, science, and tribal affairs.

In 2019, she returned to New Mexico, defeated a 14 year Republican incumbent, and took office as a New Mexico State Representative. Since taking office, she’s worked to pass critical legislation -- including legislation to help address childhood hunger and improve access to healthcare.

Melanie continues to prove that she will be a champion for New Mexicans. But with the New Mexico special election just two weeks away, she needs all the help she can get!

Will you join me in supporting Melanie by chipping in right away? Your donation will be split between my and Melanie Stansbury’s campaigns for Congress!
