I need your help, John.

Over the last 25 years, significant research has revealed how the United States tax code discriminates against women—especially women with low incomes, people of color, LGBTQ people, immigrants, and women with disabilities.

It is time to end this discrimination that has been enshrined in our tax laws. The ERA will help fix this problem. To get the Senate to act and remove the timeline that is preventing our efforts to FINALLY have the ERA added to the US Constitution, we need to end the filibuster.

John, that tax code — largely written by and for a small number of powerful and wealthy white men — works AGAINST women — not for them. But, once the Equal Rights Amendment is added to the Constitution, the federal government will need to update its laws to eliminate gender bias.

The tax code should not be a barrier to equality for all. The ERA can make it so.
