John,

Republican-controlled state legislatures continue to enact laws that make it harder for Americans -- especially people of color, senior citizens, students, and people with disabilities -- to exercise their inalienable right to vote.

From restricting the number of eligible voters to reducing the ways in which people can vote, Republicans are looking to attack voting rights in state after state.

With false claims of rampant voter fraud as a cover, state legislatures are successfully passing restrictive voter ID laws, making cuts to early and mail-in voting, and using voter roll purges to reduce the number of voters from predominantly Black communities.

As we work across the country to support policies and candidates that protect our voting rights we would like to learn more about your view on voting rights.

With our voting rights on the line in many states, it is important that we know what matters to you. Will you take 5 minutes out of your day to take our voting rights survey?

Since state-level lawmakers have the authority to redraw districts in most states, Republicans have been successful in creating congressional and state legislative seats that give them the advantage. This, in turn, has given them the ability to ramp up their efforts to destroy voting rights.

Already, more than 250 bills that restrict voting access have been introduced across state legislatures around the country.

It is clear Republicans are looking to undo all of the progress we have made and prevent us from winning more elections like the ones we did in Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania in 2020.

We cannot let that happen.

Voter suppression is an issue that undermines democracy itself and as a grassroots-powered organization it is critical we hear directly from you so we can work together to stop these Republican attacks.

Can you take a few minutes to give your thoughts on voting rights?

I look forward to seeing your responses.
