John, at this very moment, people across the country are hitting the phones hard, talking to voters about Larry Krasner. Volunteers are knocking on doors across Philadelphia. It’s the biggest day of the campaign yet.
But if we’re going to secure a victory this Tuesday, Larry needs 200 people to sign up for virtual Election Day phone bank shifts.
Already, the volunteer team has accomplished so much. Yesterday, the campaign hit 100,000 phone calls. But we need to do more.
This election could come down to just a handful of votes. That is why these Election Day phone bank shifts are so critical.
Remember: there’s no experience necessary. There will be a Zoom training to get you all the info you need to know before you start calling. An organizer will stay online to answer any questions that you have.
The shifts are virtual. They can be done from anywhere with a computer and a solid internet connection.
Whatever happens, don’t wake up the morning after the election wishing you did more. If Larry loses, it would be a catastrophic setback not only for Philadelphia’s justice systems, but also the landscape for transformation to policing and justice in more cities nationwide.
