| Friend, For too long, federal bureaucrats have been moving the goalposts on when to reopen our communities. First - we were told the shutdowns would be lifted when COVID-19 was under control Then - they said we could reopen once there was there was a vaccine Now - federal officials have moved the goalposts yet again and are still recommending extremely restrictive measures even as cases are dropping nationwide I asked Dr. Fauci when we would be able to reach "herd immunity," which happens when a large number of individuals are immune to a disease. This is an important threshold to reach, especially for such a contagious disease like COVID-19. But when I asked Fauci how many vaccinations it would take, he didn't have an answer. "We don’t know" - Anthony Fauci. Look, I understand that we should still be cautious about COVID, but not even giving us a number or goal to work towards? Many have lost jobs, businesses have suffered, communities are hurting - we need to end this once and for all.
