Meanwhile, right-wing demagogues are dominating social media. Nearly every day, the top-performing posts on Facebook are from conservatives like Sean Hannity, Ben Shapiro, and Franklin Graham.

The right has dominated talk radio for decades, but with their conspiracy theories taking over social media and cable news as well, it's no wonder that a majority of Trump voters say the 2020 election was stolen and nearly half say they won't get vaccinated.

The only way we can beat back these lies is to confront them in real time on the platforms where they spread. These are the same people who pushed the Big Lie that led to the January 6 insurrection and continued to pour gasoline on the flames, even after rioters stormed the Capitol yelling, "hang Mike Pence."
