Join Gamaliel in encouraging COVID-19 vaccination!
Gamaliel is committed to encouraging our communities to get vaccinated against COVID-19, and we're planning a social media campaign to do so. Want to contribute? Send a photo of yourself (vaccine selfies especially welcome!) and a brief sentence explaining why you chose to get vaccinated, and we'll use it on our social media.
Update from CUSH - Congregations United to Serve Humanity - Kenosha, WI
As things open up in Kenosha County, we are able to slowly and safely get back out into the community and continue our mission in person. That feels wonderful!
CUSH’s Immigration Task Force collaborated with Kenosha County’s Division of Health Department to bring information about COVID-19 vaccine availability and the county’s informational phone line for Spanish speakers who might have some degree of vaccine hesitancy. In our biggest vaccine initiative, we advocated for and helped to fund informational billboards in Spanish around Kenosha to share information about COVID and vaccine clinics. Our Immigration Task Force is also advocating for and informing the community about the need to keep funding for driver’s licenses for Undocumented Immigrants in the Wisconsin State Budget. Although that was not a successful initiative, widespread support for this legislation showed us that we must continue to advocate for it.
