The GOP's been busy. National Republicans launched a candidate against me last week who called me "weak-kneed" for praying over the death of my son.

If they're going to call me anything, call me a fighter.

No nasty attack from any Republican or the NRA is going to stop me from continuing to lead our fight for gun safety.

By the grace and strength of God, I didn't give up hope for my son's legacy even in my darkest hours.

And I'm certainly not going to give up now — not when we are so close to making real progress on ending the gun violence epidemic that took the life of my son.

But I know better than most that defending this seat is going to be a tough fight. The GOP will pull out every anti-democratic tactic in their book to defeat us.

So I'm personally asking you today: If you're able, will you pitch in $3 to give our team the resources to defend this seat and fight back against nasty attacks from my Republican opponent?

I'm so grateful to know you've got my back.
