We're going to break it down for you team: Ohio Republicans know the only way they'll continue to win across the state is if they continue to tip the scales in their favor. And they've just launched their most recent attack. We knew it was coming, but this new anti-voter legislation is worse than we could have imagined.
If passed and signed into law, this legislation from Ohio Republicans will:
- Require two forms of ID for online absentee ballot requests,
- Reduce early voting time
- Cut off Ohioans' ability to request an absentee ballot a whole week earlier
- Prohibit board of elections from providing pre-paid postage for ballot request returns
- And drastically reduce the number of secure drop box locations to ONE per county (with some confusing loopholes to exploit later).
And that's only the tip of the iceberg.
We're prepared to fight this legislation every step of the way -- even if it means bringing the fight to the courts. It won't be cheap, so we're reaching out to our best supporters to help us raise $15,000 to fill our Ohio Voting Rights Legal Fund to help us offset the costs. Rush a donation today >>
