I’m about to ask you to make a donation to my reelection campaign but first, I hope you’ll allow me to explain why your support now matters so much.

I don’t make this request lightly – I ask because of what we’re up against.

In 2016, dark money and Republican special interest groups poured in millions of dollars (record amounts of money!) to try and beat me – and they almost succeeded. When the dust settled, I won by just 1,017 votes.

Our fundraising has taken a nosedive in May, and I don’t want to think about what happens if we don’t bounce back. I have to ask: Will you please give $5 or more right now to protect New Hampshire’s vulnerable Senate seat and our Democratic majority?

Now, with Democrats’ razor-thin Senate majority, Republicans are doing whatever they can to flip this seat. Strong early fundraising is the only way to lock in – and fund – our strategy to fend off GOP attacks. But with New Hampshire’s expensive media markets and polls showing us down, we need to build up our fundraising ASAP.

I truly believe that together we can make a difference. That’s why I first ran for office – to advocate for families and kids who weren’t getting the support they needed. And that’s the spirit I’m asking you to embrace today. If you’re able, please make a critically important donation right now.
