John—
States are churning out restrictions on access to abortion care at a record pace in hopes of reaching a Supreme Court that, thanks to three ultra-conservation, anti-choice Trump justices, is stacked against Roe v. Wade.
The result of all this is clear: Our fundamental freedom to control our bodies and our lives is at imminent risk.
In the U.S. Senate, I work every day to protect our freedoms and am a lead cosponsor of the EACH Act, a bill to repeal the Hyde Amendment and other discriminatory bans on abortion services and coverage, so that all Americans can receive the care they need — no matter who they are, where they live, or how much they earn. As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I spoke about the threat Amy Coney Barrett posed to reproductive freedom as a Supreme Court justice who said during her nomination hearing that she does not consider the Roe v. Wade decision a super precedent. And I actively opposed hundreds of ultra-conservative, anti-choice judges Trump appointed to the federal bench with lifetime tenure.
I also go to work every day with some of the people who want to take our freedom away. They include Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, who recently introduced a bill that would lock into law language defining when life begins, to be used to outlaw abortion and criminalize women and pregnant people … Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, who supports a nationwide ban on abortion … and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, who has opposed rape and incest exceptions to abortion and has called those who support access to abortion “barbarians.”
Anti-choice extremism is hardly limited to these three Senators. But they — like many state officials and members of Congress — share one thing in common. They are up for re-election in 2022. That’s why I’m writing to ask for your continued support of NARAL PAC today.
Join me in standing with NARAL as battles don’t stay won. Your contribution will ensure NARAL PAC’s ability to support elected leaders who champion reproductive freedom and hold anti-choice extremists accountable. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Senator Mazie K. Hirono
With the support of people like you, we can make sure that freedom is for every body.
