Hi friend, I'm David Sanchez, the Senior Deputy Political Director at DAGA.
Today, I’m pulling back the curtain on election integrity – and how hard Democratic Attorneys General have been fighting for it.
It’s no secret that Republicans tried to steal the election repeatedly – from sabotaging our mail-in ballots to trying to overturn the election’s results – but Dem AGs intervened on our behalf every time, and they’ll continue to defend our votes at each turn.
Dem AGs filed, and won, three separate lawsuits to protect our mail system when Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy tried to slow down USPS delivery to stymie mail-in ballots during the pandemic.
A group of 17 Dem AGs opposed Alabama’s attempt to ban curbside voting, a suppression tactic that would disproportionately impact the elderly, voters with disabilities, and Black Alabamians.
When indicted Republican AG Ken Paxton tried to overturn the presidential election results in four battleground states (including Georgia, whose GOP AG was the Chair of the Republican Attorneys General Association), Democratic Attorney General Karl Racine led a coalition of 22 other Dem AGs, urging the Supreme Court to reject Paxton’s lawsuit and protect the integrity of our democracy.
And after the Supreme Court ultimately rejected AG Paxton’s baseless suit, Dem AGs pledged to continue fighting against anti-democratic efforts that threaten to undermine our free and fair elections.
Dem AGs have been active, frontline defenders of our democracy and the rights of voters nationwide. Even today, our access to the ballot box is under siege. Radical GOP legislators have introduced hundreds of voter suppression bills in 2021 alone – targeting low-income and BIPOC voters in particular.

Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
