Republican groups have been targeting Chris with ads since the beginning of the year, and just this week another GOP group launched TV ads targeting Chris in his district. National Republicans are throwing early outside money into NH-01 because they think Chris's district is for sale.

FiveThirtyEight recently reported that Republicans have an advantage going into the midterm elections. They're pressing the advantage by targeting Chris over a year out from the election because they know this seat is key to taking back the House majority.

Chris is one of only a handful of Democrats to win reelection in a district that voted for Trump in 2016, and our opponents know they have a chance to flip Chris's seat red again because of partisan redistricting. National Republicans have zeroed in on Chris as one of the five seats they need to flip.
