Mitch McConnell didn't mince any words when he said that “100% of our focus is on stopping this new administration.”
We know why McConnnell's scared, team. Democrats have an ambitious agenda for the next 100 days -- and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has made it a priority to pass the For the People Act and Biden's American Jobs Plan.
But we'll never get anything done if we allow the GOP's favorite Jim Crow relic, the Senate filibuster, to stay in place.
Democratic senators are torn over whether or not to finally abolish the filibuster, but Senator Elizabeth Warren made it clear that “the Constitution doesn't say anything about it taking a super-majority of 60 senators to pass a bill, it's time to get rid of the filibuster so Mitch McConnell doesn't get a veto over the will of the people.”
We couldn't agree with Warren more. We need to act now if we want to stop McConnell from creating a new legislative graveyard -- but first we need to know where our most engaged supporters stand. Please, let us know y our thoughts on this archaic practice:
