Complaining about something is not a solution but perpetuating a problem. I first joined No Labels in 2010 and was one of a thousand Americans who attended the inaugural No Labels meeting in New York City. It was amazing and so my journey started. Over the past ten years, I grew our New York No Labels chapter grew from four to over 2,000 members.

Through No Labels I have had the opportunity to connect with Democrats, Republicans, and independents who all share one core belief in common: that it’s time for Congress to put country over party and end the partisan gridlock.

This mission can’t be achieved alone. There is strength in numbers and our united voice will be louder than the extremes.

We are members of No Labels because we feel passionately about exploring ways to lessen congressional gridlock and to restore Americans’ faith in government.  We were attracted by No Labels’ efforts to help establish the House Problem Solvers Caucus as well as bicameral, bipartisan meetings to assist House and Senate Members in finding bipartisan solutions to our most pressing problems.

It was exciting to be part of No Labels’ efforts last fall to help five of the House Problem Solvers Caucus Members in tight congressional races.  We co-chaired the No Labels citizen outreach for Rep. Elaine Luria’s reelection campaign and found her bipartisan record resonated with voters. We were proud of our Luria No Labels Team, including Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, who did an incredible job getting out the vote and sending a Problem Solver back to Congress.  It was a wonderful experience getting to know our fellow No Labels volunteers.
