Before I head out to enjoy this beautiful weekend, I wanted to check in with an update on our fundraising for May.
This morning, my team let me know that we're only $1,200 away from reaching our $7,500 fundraising goal, and we only have until midnight on Sunday to reach it if we want to stay on track with our plans for May.
John, our hard work and our fight never stops, even on the weekends. And from the start of my time in Congress, I made a promise to myself and to NY-16 that I would remain 100% dedicated to bringing the bold and progressive change we need — but I can't do this alone.
Make no mistake, this movement isn't just about raising money or gaining political power. This movement is about coming together and fighting to end the systems of injustice that have kept so many people from reaching critical opportunities for progress.
This movement is about building up our progressive coalition to bring bold and widespread solutions that finally meet the scale and scope of the crises we face.
It's been your activism, and faith in this movement that's allowed us to make strides in support of Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, supporting students and educators in our communities, and much more. And with your continued support, I can see even more success for our progressive movement on the horizon.
Reaching our fundraising goals is the strongest way we can ensure that our movement continues to build momentum and cause problems for the status quo. Please chip in $3 or whatever you're able to help strengthen our movement and continue advocating for our progressive values.
