John -- There's bad news but also possibly good news coming out of the Census Bureau's announcement about which states gained and which states lost House of Representatives districts. This will determine whether Democrats can keep the House in the years to come.

❖ THE BAD NEWS: States that were won by President Biden in 2020 LOST districts -- which means they'll have less political power.

❖ THE GOOD NEWS: States like Texas, North Carolina, and Florida GAINED districts, largely because of the growing Latinx populations in those states!

But wait, John -- this will only be good news for progressives if we ensure that Latinxs are represented in those states' politics. And that's a big IF.

Will you pitch in to help us register young Latinxs to vote and mobilize them for elections in states like Texas to fight for a Blue House?

Here's the deal: Republicans in Texas, Florida, and other traditionally red states want to gerrymander the new districts -- which means packing many Latinx voters into as few Latinx-majority districts as possible while diluting our power in other districts. In other words, politicians want to choose their voters as opposed to the other way around, in effect silencing our voice.

That makes it even more important to build our power by registering even more Latinx voters. If Voto Latino has the resources to educate, register, and turn out young Latinxs who consistently vote for Democrats, we can shift the balance of power FOREVER -- not just in the states but nationally!

That's where you come in. In 2020, we registered about a quarter of a million Latinx voters in Texas -- but there are still 2.3 million left to register! We can’t slow down now.
