On Tuesday, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed into law a bill that could remove around 200,000 voters—including 50,000 Latinx voters—from Arizona’s early ballot mailing list. Until now, voters on that list were automatically sent a ballot for every election. But, starting after the 2024 elections, the new law will remove voters from the list if they don’t vote early at least once in two consecutive two-year election cycles or respond to a notice from election officials. Here's what we know: We need to make voting easier and not harder—especially for communities of color—and we'll fight to stop any legislation that tries to silence our voices.
