John,
As the world watches brutality in Gaza and East Jerusalem and attacks against civilians in Palestine and Israel, the trauma is palpable.
Last year, President Biden campaigned on restoring values-driven international cooperation. Now, the Biden Administration has an opportunity and a duty to be honest brokers for accountability and justice.
The Working Families Party is proud to join more than 120 other groups and WFP champions in Congress in supporting H.R. 2590, Rep. Betty McCollum's (MN-4) legislation to prohibit the use of U.S. taxpayer dollars in the Occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem for Israeli military detention, abuse, or the destruction of Palestinian property and homes in violation of international humanitarian law.
We are all interconnected, our struggles are interconnected, and this moment requires our utmost solidarity and steadfast action. John, will you take a minute right now to email your member of Congress and ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 2590?

Repression and targeted violence and killing of civilians, children, and protestors through military lethal force anywhere is war criminality and the antithesis of the values we as the United States claim to aspire to and uphold.
Israel receives billions of dollars in U.S. military aid without conditions, despite its chronic history of deliberate human rights abuses. U.S. federal and local law enforcement train with Israeli military and police despite their well-documented record of extrajudicial execution, ill treatment and torture of children, and suppression of freedom through surveillance and excessive use of force against protestors.
It doesn't have to be this way.
In our People's Charter that the Working Families Party released last year, we outlined a vision that includes care for our future — a vision that emphasizes cooperation and diplomacy in our relationships with other countries. For decades, the United States government has pursued a heavily biased policy towards Israel-Palestine, and the result is the worsening oppression and degradation of Palestinian people that we see now.
At this moment, the United States should be conditioning its military aid to Israel, instead of blocking and silencing de-escalation efforts by the international community as they have done repeatedly at the UN Security Council this week.
John, please take a minute right now to email your member of Congress and ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 2590.
