just wrapped up a meeting about our finances and fundraising goals.

After going through the numbers, it looks like we’re $2,877 behind where
we need to be to stay on pace for our May fundraising goal. To be honest
with you, this makes us a little nervous.

We set these goals to make sure Team Cori has the resources to organize
our movement, build anti-racist progressive power in Congress, and
generate momentum for change. We’re cutting it close — but after doing the
math — if one out of four people reading this email right now chips in at
least $5, we can pull this off in time.

Cori isn’t afraid of a fight. From calling out inhumane conditions in our
prisons and jails, demanding urgent environmental legislation, and
speaking out about the Black maternal health crisis — Cori has been busy
this month championing critical issues.

But we know there’s still so much more to do. Cori ran for Congress
fighting for a bold, progressive agenda of Medicare for All, a Green New
Deal, and transforming our criminal-legal system because she knows these
kinds of policies cannot wait.

Especially now, as Fox News and the GOP ramp up their racist, false
attacks against Cori, it’s critical we show our strong support for Cori
and the transformative change she’s leading. That’s why it’s even more
important we don’t fall short on our fundraising this month. We can’t
afford to make it seem like support for Cori is falling.
