We have no time to waste if we want to convince senators and members of Congress to support democracy

Indivisibles,

360+

That’s how many bills GOP officials across 47 states have introduced in this legislative session that aim to restrict voting rights and undermine our democracy. At least 55 of them are in the legislative process, and 5 have already been signed into law.

Republicans are out to rig the rules because they know their policies are unpopular -- so rather than change their policy, they’re trying to stop the people from having a say.

The For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, and the D.C. statehood bill are the best tools we have to dull the impact of these anti-democratic bills. But with groups like the Heritage Foundation and the Koch Brothers trying to stop them at every turn, we have no time to waste if we want to convince senators and members of Congress to support democracy.

Indivisible’s For the People project is a $700,000, years-long plan to provide the infrastructure, advocacy, and resources activists need to get democracy reform passed. From putting ads in Arizona, Maine, and West Virginia newspapers to providing groups with materials for their events to funding web hosting and texting tools, we’re throwing everything we have at this project, and we need your help to make it possible.

Since we don’t take money from politicians or corporations, we’re counting on you. Donate $10 today to fund our For the People Project, transform our democracy, and enable all our progressive goals this year:

The For the People Project is all about transformative democracy reform to stem the tide of GOP voter suppression and anti-democratic power-grabs. With the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act (H.R. 4), D.C. statehood, and more (plus eliminating the filibuster to make it all possible), we can ensure everyone has a voice in our democratic system, but only if Democrats muster the political will to get them done.

We’ve said it before, but this year presents us with a rare opportunity not just to win policy fights, but to fundamentally remake our democracy for the better. We don’t have much time to do it, but everything this movement has accomplished in just a few short months is proof that we have what it takes. Indivisible activists and ads are on the ground and on the air fighting for democracy every day. Thanks for being a part of it.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
