In the last 30 days, they've elected a known racist and xenophobe as their state chair, ousted one of their Congressional leaders for speaking out against the January 6th insurrection, passed legislation that encourages violence against protesters, and have even gone so far as to pass one of the most atrocious bills to come out of this session: HB 1775, which seeks to have a chilling effect on educators who teach their students about systemic racism and other important topics.
