1️⃣ Stronger fundraising = less time spent fundraising.
This sounds counterintuitive, but it's true — the stronger our fundraising is from emails like this one, the less time Jamaal will have to spend fundraising (and more time legislating).

2️⃣ The work that Jamaal is doing isn't only for the Bronx and Westchester.
Ever since he got to Washington, Jamaal has proven that he's a leader who can bring the progressive perspective from the House floor to the White House, where he's worked hard to hold President Biden accountable to the voters that elected him in the first place.

3️⃣ We need to prepare for the fights of the 2022 midterms. If history is any indication, it's going to be a tough fight to keep our majority in Congress.
Since 1946, the president's party has lost 27 House seats on average, and today, Democrats hold one of the slimmest majorities in the House at just seven seats. In 2020, three out of the four members of the Squad faced well-funded primary opponents from the political establishment during their first re-elections.

What's more, there's impending redistricting across the country — including in New York, where we lost a seat in the House. While we're not sure what this all means yet, we do know we have to be ready for whatever might come our way.
