The Virginia GOP convention happened last weekend, and Republicans officially have their nominee for Governor in this year's election: Glenn Youngkin . And it didn't take long for Donald Trump to given his full-throated endorsement.

A far-right extremist who has demonstrated complete loyalty to Donald Trump cannot become our next governor. He's helped spread Trump's election fraud conspiracy theories, fought against COVID-19 relief efforts, and threatened to decimate Virginians' health care.

And here's the really scary thing: Although we've gained a lot of ground in the Commonwealth in recent years, history tells us that whichever party loses the White House tends to win the governor's race in Virginia the next year.

And now that Republicans have already nominated their candidate, they'll have a head start on fundraising for the general election since the Democratic primary is still nearly four weeks away!
