As you may already know, at the end of every quarter, our campaign has to file our fundraising totals with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC). Every dollar we’ve raised becomes public.

We’re about to reach our FEC mid-quarter deadline on May 15th, but we’re short of where we need to be for this point in the quarter. Will you chip in before the deadline to help us close the gap?

After last quarter’s deadline, we learned that one of my Republican opponents, Lisa Scheller, gave half a million dollars to her own campaign. As a result, she outraised us during the first quarter of the year, and she has more resources to build her campaign and start reaching voters early.

In a few days, we’ll reach our mid-quarter deadline for the second quarter. If we are going to catch up to Scheller by the end of the quarter, we absolutely must stay on track. But our fundraising is slowing down, and there’s a $25,000 gap between where we are and where we need to be.

Can I count on you to chip in to my campaign before our mid-quarter deadline at midnight on May 16th? The House majority depends on us keeping this seat.
