We at the Washington Senate Dems know just how threatening the climate crisis is to our future. That’s why we’re proud to tell you about some of the great legislation we’ve passed this session to support our planet.

Our Senate Dems pushed forward the Climate Commitment Act to create a cap-and-invest program and slash greenhouse gas emissions; passed a new low carbon fuel standard ; and passed the HEAL Act to prioritize racial equity and environmental justice.

From rising sea levels that threaten coastal communities to the devastating wildfires last year, we know the climate crisis poses an existential threat to our state, our nation, and our planet.

Our important legislation is just the beginning of our fight for climate action and progressive change here in Washington state. Just recently it was announced that the local orca population is stronger than it’s been in a decade thanks to our environmental reforms!
