John, The left is obsessed with me — they write nasty articles about me every other week it seems, but they still don’t get it.
I’m sure they’re baffled that none of their attacks have stuck, but I know why.
When the New York Times and Washington Post attack me, they are writing what they wish was true, not what is ACTUALLY true.
Through their attacks against me, the left highlights their contempt against middle America.
Yesterday, The Federalist published an excellent piece that cuts to the heart of the Left’s disdain for everyday Americans and conservatives.
John Daniel Davidson writes: “But for all this, the piece is not really about Hawley. It’s about ordinary Americans who live in small towns, go to church, and believe their country is a decent place worthy of their affection.”
Davidson continues to take the Washington Post journalist to task, writing, “The point is, according to Kranish, that if you come from an obviously racist, backwards place like this there’s a good chance you’re a racist, or at least racially insensitive. You know, like Hawley.”
The Federalist articulates what we all know— growing up in a small town in middle America doesn’t make you racist, having strong religious beliefs doesn’t make you a bigot, and having concerns about election integrity doesn’t make you a conspiracy theorist.
