News just broke that Heritage Action, one of the largest Republican Dark Money groups, is behind the wave of voter suppression bills across the country.

In front of a group of major right-wing donors, the group proudly took credit for pushing draft legislation in state legislatures — including Georgia and Florida.

According to Mother Jones where the story broke, “Texas is the next big fight for Heritage.”

Heritage Action told their donors that they wrote 19 provisions in the Texas House bill.

They claim that “Governor Abbott will sign it quickly” if it passes, and they’re putting a massive amount of money behind their efforts too.

They plan to spend $24 million in eight battleground states, including Texas, to try to pass their racist voter suppression bills and fight any legal action from voting rights advocates.

Passing this Jim Crow legislation in Texas is their next priority, and our best hope of stopping this bill is with an outpouring of grassroots support.
