John, we must be clear about the U.S. government’s role in enabling the continued occupation of the Palestinian people. U.S. military aid should not be going toward violating human rights, displacing Palestinian families, and undermining the long-term safety and security of both Israelis and Palestinians.

Congress must end the blank check of military aid that our taxpayers provide the Israeli government. H.R. 2590 would ensure that no taxpayer dollars to Israel go toward supporting settlement expansion, home demolitions, the detention of Palestinian children, the unlawful seizure, appropriation, and destruction of Palestinian property, or further annexation of Palestinian land.

Only 20 U.S. House members are signed on to this measure. Nine of them are Justice Democrats. Can you join us in signing on to support H.R. 2590 and mounting pressure on our elected representatives to end aid to violence against the Palestinian people?

The Israeli government will continue to feel no incentive to end the occupation of the Palestinian people as long as American taxpayers provide a blank check of military aid. Our government should not be offering financial support for the ongoing violence against the Palestinian people, Israeli settlement expansion, nor the daily abuses against Palestinians by the Israeli military.

Many members of Congress, including most Democrats, don’t yet support this measure, so we need to show our strong support for Palestinian human rights and safety. Please, take a minute and join the people’s movement to sign on to support H.R 2590 — an end to unconditional military aid to Israel.
