Legislators must hear from us, or they won't act

** Every person should have access to renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Please help important legislation get passed this session by making a call to your NYS Assemblymember.

In one month, the New York legislative session will end, which means we're almost out of time to pass major energy democracy legislation this year. Please take five minutes to call your State Assemblymember today - ask them to support the Energy Efficiency Equity and Jobs Act ([link removed]) , AND the New York Build Public Renewables Act ([link removed]) .

HERE ([link removed]) is a link to a tool you can use to find your Assemblymember's phone number, and HERE ([link removed]) is a script you can use when you make the call.

The Energy Efficiency Equity and Jobs Act will make sure New York’s energy efficiency programs benefit communities suffering under the worst environmental impacts. It will also ensure that energy efficiency retrofits include mold and lead abatement so that everyone can have a healthy, safe, and efficient home. This bill already passed the NYS Senate, so calling your Assemblymember today will help us make sure it gets to the Governor's desk for signature.
The New York Build Public Renewables Act will expand the New York Power Authority to give it the power to build publicly-owned renewable energy, move all government buildings to 100% renewables, provide low-cost renewable energy to all New Yorkers, and create a surge of new union jobs.
