Chuck Schumer is fighting right now to pass the For The People Act -- a federal
law that would put a stop to voter suppression, gerrymandering, and other
despicable ways Republicans abuse their power to keep people from voting. 

I can’t overstate the importance of what you do right now.We’ve got to show Chuck that there’s unprecedented support behind him. I’ve set
our mid-May fundraising goal at 6,500 donations. That’s steeper than any goal
we’ve set before, and we have even less time to meet it. 

So now is the time for us all to dig deep. As Chuck works around the clock with Senate Democrats to fight for voting rights, we’re going to do all we can to show just how much Americans support the work of our Democratic majority. [link removed]

Here’s what Chuck told Mitch McConnell and his party on the Senate floor:

"Instead of doing what you should be doing when you lose an election in a
democracy, attempting to win over those voters in the next election, Republicans
instead are trying to disenfranchise those voters. Shame on them!"

With a clear indication that Americans are behind Chuck and the Democratic
majority, we can call out Republicans more. We can win more legislative fights
and make more progress. But that can’t happen if our Democratic majority isn’t
strong.
