Rep. Liz Cheney has been on the GOP hot seat for a while now. The backlash kicked into high gear after she voted to impeach President Donald Trump. Cheney has accumulated plenty of critics in recent months, and House Republicans have pushed for some form of punishment. Now, that punishment could be just hours away. Republicans appear to be in a position to end Rep. Cheney's tenure, and they've already got a possible replacement lined up: Rep. Elise Setanik (NY). While a few GOP members have supported Cheney to this point, many want her to face the consequences. This will go beyond a slap on the wrist, too, as they're calling for the anti-Trump politician's complete removal.
