We’ve determined the need to perform necessary firmware updates this weekend, in addition to the regularly-scheduled work outlined below. This work will extend the maintenance timeframe until approximately 8:00 AM Eastern (on Saturday and on Sunday, if needed). Your site will not need to be put into maintenance mode during this additional work and users can continue to access it; however, we wanted to inform you of the additional work to plan for any contingencies.
As you may know, NGP VAN regularly performs general server maintenance by applying the latest Microsoft patches to ensure optimal system performance.
We will put your site into maintenance mode for approximately 10 to 15 minutes and will display a scheduled maintenance notification during this period. While interruption is typically limited to a quarter of an hour, we may need up to a full hour to account for contingencies.
Alerts in advance of these maintenance windows appear in the Resource Center under Service Announcements. If you do not see the Resource Center, you may need to disable your browser's ad blockers for your NGP VAN site.
The next round of patching work will commence on Saturday, May 15th; Sunday, May 16th; and Monday, May 17th from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM Eastern. We have confirmed this is the best time to complete this work across our platforms based on system usage while ensuring all nightly data procedures have run.
During this time, your Online Forms will be up and available to your supporters but attempts to submit the form may fail. Given the extremely short duration of the maintenance window, we expect that full functionality will return by the time most supporters are able to attempt a second submission of the form.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation as we perform this maintenance work. The following monthly maintenance work will occur June 12-14th.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach us with any questions or concerns.
Yours, Mark Puleo (He, Him, His) We're here to help. NGP VAN
