On May 14, 1948, Jewish Agency Chairman David Ben-Gurion formally declared the independence of the State of Israel. Eleven minutes later, U.S. President Harry S. Truman made one of the most momentous decisions of his presidency by recognizing the new Jewish state. Join Dr. Kurt Graham, Director of the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, for an exclusive tour of the newly-renovated museum, including a sneak peak of an exhibit on the founding of the State of Israel, and a discussion on this important chapter in American history.
