Four months ago today, Republicans voted to acquit Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial.
Despite the overwhelming evidence that myself and other House Impeachment Managers presented proving his guilt, Republicans refused to fulfill their duty — choosing instead to shield themselves and their party leader from any accountability for the violent insurrection their rhetoric and lies inspired on January 6. And the few who did speak out against Trump’s lies were condemned within their own party for their actions.
Republicans turn their backs on justice, but I never will. I’m fighting tooth and nail to hold the Republicans accountable who voted to acquit Donald Trump of his crimes against our country. Will you chip in a donation of $10 or more right now to show that you’re still with me in this fight?
While Republicans in the House and Senate are asking us to move on from the January 6 attack on the Capitol, I refuse to let that happen without consequences for those who were complicit in the violence that took place that day.
I’m pushing the House to create an independent commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, and we could see movement on this as early as next week.
When things begin to heat up, Republicans will come after me, and I need to know that you are still with me in the fight to hold Republicans accountable for what happened on January 6.
