Hello Friend,
AB286 was passed by the Senate Judiciary, but our work is not done. We still have a long way to go before this bill heads to the Governor’s desk. You can help! On Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 at 5pm we will have a roundtable discussion with advocates and Assemblywoman Sandra Jauregui to discuss AB286 and we need you to call your senator to tell them to support this crucial gun violence prevention bill.
Assemblywoman Jauregui is a 1 October survivor and a champion of gun violence prevention legislation in Nevada. She sponsored AB286 and she has fought to make sure this bill gets to the Governor’s desk and becomes law. Bring your questions for the Assemblywoman!
Tanya Schardt, Legal Counsel & Director of State and Federal Policy, at Brady United will also join us to discuss her role in getting AB286 through the legislative process. Tanya is an amazing advocate for gun violence prevention. Please bring your questions for her as she is incredibly knowledgeable on the legality of AB286 and ghost guns.
Prior to this event, we ask that you call your senator and tell them you support AB286! This is incredibly important as this bill is facing a full NV Senate vote soon. Please use the tool below to find your senator and give them a call.
Calling your senator is one of the most impactful ways to help get AB286 passed. With your help, we’ll be able to celebrate a huge victory at the upcoming event! You can find the event details below:
