Friends,
It has been a rough week for democracy in Minnesota.
For the last four months our opponents in the Minnesota Senate have been pushing hard to ban Ranked Choice Voting, an effort that this week included an anti-RCV conference committee hearing on the State Government Omnibus bill (HF1952) filled with misinformation and outright falsehoods. We now expect committee chair Senator Mary Kiffmeyer (R-Big Lake) and committee member and chief author of the RCV ban bill, Senator Mark Koran (R-North Branch) to do all they can to pass HF1952 out of committee with the RCV ban in place.
FairVote Minnesota is working hard to counter this threat, activating our coalition of volunteer advocates around the state to convey in no uncertain terms that Minnesotans will not let the Senate majority take our democracy backward.
On May 17th, at 11:59 PM, the legislative session ends, and we need your support to respond. Will you make a donation so we can continue to stand up to these threats? [[link removed]]

As voters in five Minnesota cities prepare to use RCV for their local elections this fall, we must educate voters, campaigns and cities and counter expected misinformation. And of course, we are continuing to build momentum and support to pass RCV statewide in the next biennium.
Help us prepare for what is to come by giving now to FairVote Minnesota. [[link removed]]
Thank you for helping us defend Minnesota’s democracy in this time of need.
